Wm. Wayne Hooper, MD

Dr. Wayne Hooper received his medical degree from McGill University, Montreal, Canada in 1975. While in Montreal, Quebec he completed his medical residency in Internal Medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital, a McGill University teaching hospital. Dr. Hooper completed a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the University of California, San Diego, in 1980.

Dr. Hooper was on the Faculty of UCSD in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine until he went into private practice as Scripps Memorial Hospitals in La Jolla and Encinitas, California in 1982. From the time period of 1982 until 2005, Dr. Hooper maintained an outpatient practice of medicine specializing in pulmonary diseases while also providing hospital care to patients as a critical care specialist and consultant in chest medicine.

Since 2005, Dr. Hooper has been focused on outpatient managment of pulmonary patients as the founder of Rancho Sierra Medical Group. In 2018 Dr. Hooper joined Coastal Pulmonary Associates.

Dr. Hooper is currently board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine.
